Fashion Hint
While shopping look in the product descriptions for items that
specify great for layering .
Step One:

CHOOSE YOUR BASE:
Choose the length you would like to start with. Most people like to start with a necklace that is either 14 or 16 inches long. They normally lay in the collar bone area of the neck. The first necklace should be something that is flat and can be a starting point for distraction.
Step Two:

CHOOSE YOUR FIRST LAYER
Choose a pendant that is about 2 -3 inches longer than the first necklace. Always give your necklaces room to stand alone, but be seen as a whole at the same time. Be sure to choose a necklace that can tell a story with or compliment the previous necklace.
Step Three:
CHOOSE YOUR MIDDLE LAYER
Be sure to include a group of necklaces that identifies with your personality. For instance if you are a dainty person who likes very small items, you may want to begin with a simple bar that lays horizontal across the neckline then a small heart, your initial , and finally a very small solitaire stone. The combination of these necklaces together will add a beautiful flare to your style as well as compliment your neckline without too much going on.
On the other hand, if you like a little more than something dainty; then you could start with a plain flat(herringbone or linked) necklace then graduate/ descend necklaces as you go along. Just remember, with layering the more the better as long as they all tell a story. So be sure to have fun and enjoy it!
